John O’Neill is the best-selling author of the 2004 New York Times No. 1 Best Seller, Unfit for Command, which became the New York Times weekly Number One Best Seller during September and October 2004, ironically for several weeks interrupting The Da Vinci Code’s three year run. The book was credited by its New York Times review as a decisive influence in the 2004 Presidential race. Unfit for Command ultimately sold over 700,000 copies and was the Number 5 Non-Fiction Best Seller for 2004, despite its August Release. The Fisherman's Tomb is the first book O’Neill has chosen to write since 2004 because it is a story that should be told.  O'Neill is an Annapolis graduate and a lawyer selected many times as a Best Lawyer as well as a former US Supreme Court law clerk. He has made a lifetime study of Roman Archeology traveling throughout the Roman World to visit sites and digs.
